There are lots of parks in Redbridge.
Valentines park and Seven kings park are some of the local ones.
There are also country parks where you would see forests, parks, woodlands, and lakes. The most popular one in Redbridge is Fairlop Waters.
One quarter of Redbridge is woodland including 14 conservation areas.
Redbridge has two big country parks: Hainault forest and Fairlop waters.
Hainault Forest was part of the forest of Essex, from the time of Norman kings until deforestation occurred in 1851. For much of that period a small park called Fairlop Oak proudly stood in the middle. An annual fair attracting thousands of people was held there between 1725 and 1900.The eastern boundaries were marked by a series of stones, most of which can be seen today. There are lots of different species of trees in Hainault forest, like ash, beech, black poplar, blackthorn, conifers, crab apple, elm, English oak, hawthorn, horse chestnut, silver birch, bird cherry and many more.
