In Redbridge people do their GCSE because it’s part of their school life. When you’re 14 to 16 year olds, you are available to choose any subject you would like to study and that interests you can take your GCSE.

Your GCSEs are to see what your final results and represents your final grades at the end of secondary school. GCSES are very important for the rest of your life (your jobs). If you have good grades in your GCSE you can get a good job, or go on to study more, like A Levels.

If you want to study a particular subject in detail, AS and A level qualifications may be for you. They are highly valued by schools, colleges, universities and employers.
Many students take AS and A level qualifications in Years 12 and 13, after completing their GCSEs. However, adults can take them too. Some schools also offer AS levels in certain subjects for gifted and talented students in Years 10 and 11 (ages 14 to 16).

People have two options when their doing their A levels, either you can take the second part of A levels which is AS levels.

Tuition Centres in Redbridge

There is a wide range of tuition centres in the Redbridge community. They start tutoring from a very young age towards university. Some teachers teach different subjects and some just teach only one. For instance some might teach Primary School, Secondary School, University, 11+, KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4, EDEXCEL, GCSE, and A Level.

Some people get tutors to come to their house and teach individually or some children can get group classes. Or people have to travel to tutor’s houses to have class or individual lessons.

Some people don’t teach educationally but teach entertainments by teaching sports or games.

Tuition Centres try to push the child to its best ability in all subjects because they think everyone needs to do their best.

This is what a KS1 teacher reported “I think they should have a short period of the lessons because they aren’t settled properly as they want to play more. They want to have fun while learning these new methods. They need simple explanations.

Physical Therapy in Romford

Barking Physical Therapy Centre, 90 Long Bride Road, Barking, IG11 8SF

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy is a type of medical treatment that helps a person move someone’s body. If you’ve had a broken bone or an injury and can’t do things like you used to, physical therapy helps you to move your body better. Physical therapists know lots about how the body moves and how to improve your movement. They treat patients as young as babies and as old as great-grandparents. During sessions they teach them some exercises and special stretches.

Healthy foods and drinks

Eating fruits, vegetables and healthy drinks helps your body stay healthy. Tricks to eating healthy foods are eating them prepared in different ways. Drinks like water, milk and 100% fruit juice. School age children should drink at least 6 to 8 ounces of fruit juice a day. Some children choose sports drinks, fizzy and fruit flavoured drinks. They’re ok once in a while but not all the time.

Any breakfast is better than no breakfast. Some skip breakfast because they sleep too late or they want to stay thin. But skipping breakfast doesn’t help people have the right weight. People who skip breakfast eat more calories during the day. Children who don’t eat breakfast are less able to learn in school.

Heart attacks

The Heart is the most important organ of the body.

Being overweight or not doing enough exercise it can cause a serious heart attack. Also eating high-fat food can cause heart attack too. It is not good for you if you have high blood pressure or high cholesterol. Smoking is the worst habit because this habit can easily cause a heart attack. Most heart attacks occur when you have coronary disease. The following can cause heart attacks and can damage your heart; taking certain drugs, emotional stress or pain, exposure to extreme cold, cigarette smoking. When an extreme panic has just happened that can cause a heart attack. Arteriosclerosis a type of disease. This disease hardens the arteries and makes it no longer flexible.

A heart attack happens when blood flows to part of the heart muscle and is blocked. The blockage harms part of the heart because it is no longer getting oxygen from the blood. Most heart attacks are caused by a blood clot that blocks one of the coronary arteries; sometimes a heart attack can be caused by a spasm, or tightening of a coronary artery. Coronary arteries are the blood vessels that supply oxygen and blood to the heart muscle. In coronary artery disease, the inside of the coronary arteries narrow and hardens because of the build-up of fat material called plague. Blood flows to the heart muscle and then is decreased. If the plague cracks or breaks open, a blood clot can form on the surface of the plague. The clot also called a thrombus can completely block blood flow in the artery. Once the flow of blood is blocked, a heart attack will happen when a part of the heart muscle becomes damaged. The heart may not be able to pump blood throughout the body very well. This can cause chest, arm, back or jaw pain or shortness of pain.

If you are concerned that your are having serious pain or if you eat quite a lot of fatty foods then we suggest that you should have a check up at your local GP (General practitioner).

Redbridge works hard to help people who suffer from heart disease and put a lot of work in the community to keep people fit and healthy.

Free smoke alarms can be fixed; you are twice as likely to die in a fire where you don’t have a smoke alarm. The fire brigade will arrive in five minutes after the call, apart from when there is bad traffic. Redbridge has one of the most powerful fire services.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) is the largest fire and rescue service in the UK. They are here to make London a safer city. Their vision is to be a world class fire and rescue service for London, Londoners and visitors.
The LFB will always respond to fires and other emergencies, but our work has changed over the years with a much stronger emphasis now on fire prevention and community safety.
Young Education
Their dedicated team of schools officers carries out educational workshops about home fire safety and visits approximately 100,000 Key stages 1 and Key stage 2 children each year. Children also receive fire safety education through our attendance at holiday activities and play schemes run by local authorities, community groups and charitable organizations.

The reason why they need your personal information is because, if your child hurts them self or if your child is endangered, say if a fire in the school they would need to phone you. You would need an admission form for nursery, primary, secondary and collage and university. You may not like giving your personal information to the school, but it is for your child’s sake if you want them to go to school. You can get the 2008 or 2009 admission form. If you go on the Redbridge website type in admission forms you can get the booklet of the admission form.

Introduction to Y6 Community Project

In Year 6 this half term we are looking at our local community and the facilities that are available for adults and children. The pupils of William Torbitt Primary School will be researching, contacting and communicating with members of the community to explore what Redbridge has to offer. We hope that you will find our research useful.
