If you would like to attend a grammar school or a school of a high standard you will have to take an exam called 11+. You will have two exams, verbal and non verbal to get into the school you have applied for.

The girl’s grammar school is called Woodford County and the boy’s school is Ilford County. When you have taken the test they put the scores in order and they count out 120, and the first 120 get a place in Woodford county or Ilford County.

11+ is an optional exam you take it in a different school to the school you attend. Your parents and head teacher have to fill or sign a form to make sure they know your taking the test and to fill in any allergies, health problems and any other concerns your they have.

After you have done everything choose the dates for the exam then you take the exam and see if you have passed or failed. If you are taking your 11+ GOOD LUCK!

Pre schools

In Redbridge pre schools are for children aged approximately one and half to four. Some nurseries start children from the age of nine months. Some nurseries in Redbridge are free and some nurseries have to be paid for.

Many schools have a nursery attached to them so when the child has finished Pre School they can move straight on to the school but make sure you apply before hand.

So if your looking for a pre school or a nursery make sure you apply for it and see if your chid likes the nursery and is comfortable with it .Do some research on a few nurseries so you get the idea.

An annual fair attracting thousands of people was held there between 1725 and 1900.The eastern boundaries were marked by a series of stones, most of which can be seen today. There are lots of different species of trees in Hainault forest, like ash, beech, black poplar, blackthorn, conifers, crab apple, elm, English oak, hawthorn, horse chestnut, silver birch, bird cherry and many more.
