Swimming

There are two main indoor swimming pools in Ilford; there are other swimming pools in Fullwell Cross and Barkingside for all ages managed by Vision. There is a swimming gala held in Fullwell Cross in 2009.

Skating

There is a skate park in Seven Kings on Aldborough Road South and is very popular. There are other skate parks in Hainault including Hainault recreation ground.

Libraries and Museum

Located in our Central Library in Ilford, the museum is itself is very young - opened in October 2000. It has a wonderful range of exhibits covering the great age of Redbridge. It's not just about looking. You can hear sounds and voices from past and present and touch real objects - or learn from multimedia computer displays.

Fairlop waters

Fairlop Waters offers the angler a choice of two waters. A three and a half acre lake with a large head of Carp. This lake also offers Tench and Bream up to ten pounds. A disabled angling platform is in place with wheelchair access.
The sailing lake, which covers an area of 38 acres, is also available for night fishing. This lake has a large head of Carp, Roach, Bream, Perch and Pike varying size with some specimens up to 30lbs.
Sports

The London Borough of Redbridge Sports and Physical Activity Team organise a variety of sporting events for youths. 2008 proved to be a rewarding season for Redbridge with participants gearing up for next year's games.
