Free smoke alarms can be fixed; you are twice as likely to die in a fire where you don’t have a smoke alarm. The fire brigade will arrive in five minutes after the call, apart from when there is bad traffic. Redbridge has one of the most powerful fire services.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) is the largest fire and rescue service in the UK. They are here to make London a safer city. Their vision is to be a world class fire and rescue service for London, Londoners and visitors.
The LFB will always respond to fires and other emergencies, but our work has changed over the years with a much stronger emphasis now on fire prevention and community safety.
Young Education
Their dedicated team of schools officers carries out educational workshops about home fire safety and visits approximately 100,000 Key stages 1 and Key stage 2 children each year. Children also receive fire safety education through our attendance at holiday activities and play schemes run by local authorities, community groups and charitable organizations.
